Designed this for Shadowdash, but with tweaking, it should work with Tunerstudio too.

^^Haha! Nice.
Since I got the speedometer going I plopped a speedometer gauge on to the digital cluster screen, and while I was modifying things I bumped up all the fonts to make it easier to read. Phil, if you happen to read this, can the gauge label font sizes be different than the numbers on the gauge face?

No directly, but you can place another Gauge set as a Basic Readout and it can cover the current text with what may be sized closer to what you are looking for.Phil, if you happen to read this, can the gauge label font sizes be different than the numbers on the gauge face?
BTW, that looks pretty cool behind the bezel.

Re: The official "Post your custom-from-scratch dash" thread
Thanks and thanks. You made this possible! Thanks for the alternative idea for the labeling, I may do just that.
I just looked at creating an "information" panel on my '69 Firebird in the rectangular spot the clock option goes, except it's just a blank trim panel since the car didn't come with a clock. It's a 2.5" wide by 4.5" tall panel, and I think I might be able to squeeze a 7" LCD screen behind it. It'd look very similar I think to Hardline's shadow dash.
Do a similar set up to the Skylark, with a quick command to quickly tab between a couple different displays. IThough, I may go whole hog and replace the entire dash cluster instead (it's only a speedo and fuel gauge, with three idiot lights controlled by the MS), or have both? Would an animated GIF of a flux capacitor off to the right of the dash cluster be too much?

Re: The official "Post your custom-from-scratch dash" thread
I updated the Skylark's dash cluster today. All appears to be working. I'll be back checking the mpg calculations over time for corrections. You guys make this far too easy for simple folks like me!

Re: The official "Post your custom-from-scratch dash" thread
Hey everyone, Here's my custom dash that I based off a Lexus is350 cluster. I edited an image of the cluster in Photoshop, cleaned it up, and added many customizations to suite my needs. I am using a Dell Venue 8 Pro with Windows 8.1 to run my cluster, and it will be replacing the original cluster in my 1990 Ford Probe behind the steering wheel. The tablet charges from an isolated DC to DC converter (to prevent ground loops issues with the ms2 serial port) The tablet also has a USB 10Hz GPS and the USB-to-serial adapter connected. (to connect to the ms2)
Here's a picture and video of it running...
Gauge demo video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFialJLWS4E
Actually running off the car: (will be installed in the cluster soon)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuGALbmhQzs
The fuel gauge actually does work now. I found out that the stock fuel sending unit in the gas tank has a resistance range of 5 - 115 ohms. (5 ohm for full tank, and 115 for empty tank) To be able to allow the megasquirt II receive the fuel level, I built a voltage divider circuit and used the ADC6 input to convert the voltage into a digital value. This value can then be displayed in tuner studio with a gauge using the ADC6 input. I have approximately 250 levels of resolution for the fuel level. Works pretty well. Here is a video demonstrating that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j79OBLcsbqg
Using the 10Hz GPS unit that EFI Analytics recommends allows me to have a speedometer, horsepower, and torque gauges! The speedo updates pretty quick too. I'm really impressed with how well that works. I intend on adding an mpg readout near the fuel gauge.
90% of this dash is the background image. The gauges are then overlaid on it with a majority of their parameters transparent. If I removed the background image, you'd see nothing but a bunch of bar meters, needles and numbers.

Re: The official "Post your custom-from-scratch dash" thread
Cant recall if I posted this here, its probably been pruned due to age it I did.
Not as much "full custom" as many of these fine dashes, but fully usable day or night.
Came up with the idea of moving all the indicator "lamps" into the gauge faces themselves as most modern cars do, this also allows for max size/number of gauges.
The snapshot is of the gauge demo as the indicators are fully transparent when off/normal running.(aka invisible when off)

Always doing things the hard way, MS2 sequential w/ v1.01 mainboard, LS2 coils. 80 mile/day commuter status.
