Re: TS serial failure after 3 attempts
Unfortunately, no difference in both serial modes.
Every now and then it connects for a couple of seconds:

What do you mean both Serial Modes?
Was this with 1.17?
What BT Adapter Are you using?

Re: TS serial failure after 3 attempts
Actually looking at those messages, it seem you have bigger problems that the byte stream being interrupted.
Even the Strings that are passed back from the firmware are missing characters mid stream, so the bytes seem to be not making it.
There may be a setting in your BT Adapter to help that. Perhaps Echo off.

Re: TS serial failure after 3 attempts
yes, this is with 1.17.
I'm using the LM Technologies LM058
I meant the driver (Serial - Alternate blocking).
I'll check if echo is off in the BT configuration.

ok... Use the normal one.I meant the driver (Serial - Alternate blocking).
I might need to pick up an LM058 and test.

Re: TS serial failure after 3 attempts
Tried all possible combinations but the result is always the same. TS reports invalid data received in the bottom left corner of the window.
Every now and then I get the window like above.
Tried with echo off / on, escape off / on, command response off / on, escape sequence handling off / on in all various combinations, but it's a no go.
Weird, as it always worked fine with MS2E .
Does the one you're selling work? I already have a LM058 and RN134, so wouldn't want to invest in another one that doesn't work

Re: TS serial failure after 3 attempts
It looks like the LM058 have been discontinued, so don't think I'll be picking one up.
That does seem odd that it worked with and MS2. You don't happen to still have an MS2 around to test and see if it still works.
What I found with some BT adapters is that if I don't have a very long wait when reading unknown length packets like the firmware info, it would often end up coming back in 2 pieces. So you will see MS for the signature, then get the rest of the signature on the firmware Info read.
In 1.17 I adjusted these timings up to where it seems to work with all my BT Adapters. So I would try giving you a release that increased these times even higher, except what scares me looking at the above screen shots is that your adapter seems to be loosing bytes in the middle. If you did connect like that I can't say what sort of corruption it would cause.

Re: TS serial failure after 3 attempts
Unfortunately, I no longer have the ms2, so can't test. I've used the LM058 for a couple of years on different MS2's. Never had a problem.
Switched to MS3 and it no longer works.
The LM058 is indeed discontinued, the current model is LM048. A couple of people have the LM048/058 and seem to have the same problems.
I don't mind testing the code with increased times, but like you said, it looses data in the middle, so that is probably not the cause.

Re: TS serial failure after 3 attempts
Actually looking at it, I don't need to give you a special build.
Edit your mainController.ini file, find:
blockReadTimeout
set that to
blockReadTimeout = 800
See if that helps.

Re: TS serial failure after 3 attempts
I've just started having this same issue since ts just updated to version 3.0.28 I'm using serial - usb adapter which I purchased with my ms not BT
if I run port check it finds ms no issues but now after TS tries to connect it gives an error and goes offline
