Got a new phone, should I have to pay again?

Just replaced my Nexus 4 (running Shadow Dash) with a Nexus 5, but Play wants me to pay to install it. Its still working fine on my Nexus 7, which is what I mostly use, but I like having it on my phone as a backup..

Do I need to pay for each device?

no, you shouldn't have to pay again.

If you are logging into google play with the same gmail account, you will still be licensed and it will say Install instead of buy.

Ahh its because I run beta..

Even beta, it won't matter. But if you install the side load installer, then it will be looking for an EFI A license.

I went back through my emails and found my registration key from back in 2012.. Side loaded and it works!
