RTC inside the logs?

RTC inside the logs?
Should the RTC (I have one installed)be a part of the log?
I'm looking for a way to easier sync the logs with video in race renderer.

Re: RTC inside the logs?
Which logs?
For SDcard datalog, the date and time are recorded at the start of each datalog and then the number of processor (not RTCC) timer ticks are recorded on each block of data. I have not tested to see if there is any skew between these two clock sources. It would be possible to interleave RTCC information within the SDcard logs (say at 1 or 10 second intervals?) but this is not presently done.
TunerStudio could theoretically generate the date/time for each record it extracts based on that data.
Moving this topic to the TS section so Phil can offer his thoughts.

Re: RTC inside the logs?
I'm looking for a way to be able to use a 1hr log, and be able to sync a 5min video at the correct spot.
It doesn't need to be spot on, but in the ballpark.

Re: RTC inside the logs?
It seems it would be quite possible to include the Date/Time stamp in the log in a future release.
Either just in the log header or as a running field.

Re: RTC inside the logs?
It would be great! Easier to chop out the part of the log that belongs to a certain video clip would make things a lot easier

Any progress on a RTCC running field .. I would like to use time instead of clock ticks in megalogviewer hd as well as have a clock on the dash

Unfortunately I think this fell off the radar.

In this post James and Reverant talk about getting the RTCC data through CANLT401Vette wrote:Unfortunately I think this fell off the radar.

It sounds like a ini modification to add a channel to datax is possible?
From there it would just be a guage on the dashboard directed to that channel.
I think MS Labs/Reverant did that in this video
