Conflicting AFR Readings in TunerStudio - cause?

Conflicting AFR Readings in TunerStudio - cause?

Post by OnePaintedMan »

I have recently encountered an issue with AFR readings that has perplexed me for some time and someone on MX5Nutz suggested I head over here to post about it.

I've posted here in case its a Tunerstudio quirk but it may well be that my post is redirected to the tuning section if its felt to be a hardware issue.

I've been running a Reverant built MS2 on my supercharged 1.6 Mazda Eunos for about 4 months along with an Innovate LC-2 sensor for to monitor AFR. During this time I have autotuned the car using Tunerstudion to great affect.

However, I recently had some tuning issues with fluctuating idle which I solved but in teh the last week I have had severe starting issues whilst trying to set up cold start. These issues have been impossible to resolve as I am getting annomolous conflicting AFR readings on the tunerstudio dashboard. The needle on teh AFR gauge on my tuner studio dashboard show that teh car is running lean, indicting a reading of around 19, whilst teh numerical value in teh dassh face shows a rich reading of 7:40?

I have been unable to resolve why these readings are occuring. In my search for an answer I have discovered two other forum members who also have the identical problem. We are all running Innovate LC-2 but bought our MS ECUs from different reputable sources.

Anyone have any idea what is causing the odd split reading in tunerstudio?

There is no peg on the limits... The gauge is wrapped around far enough below the 10:1 that 7.4:1 lands at about 18.6:1

The next release of TS does have gauge pegs.

Can he for now just rescale the gauge to read lower?
