Microsquirt ls efisource pnp issues

Post by str8lnr »

In need of some assistance with my microsquirt ls setup. Went to the track today, made a pass and after i come back and try to connect tuner studio, it gave me the current tune does not match controller settings, I hit use controller settings, it said turn off engine so i did, Now i can not connect to my ecu and it wiped the tune out. and the car wont start. Any ideas what may have happen?

I've moved this to the TunerStudio section for their thoughts on the matter.

It sounds like somehow your MicroSquirt became corrupt. Thus a difference report as TS wanted to put back the last settings. However, if you selected "Use Controller Settings" Then TS would have left what ever was in there. So it there should be no message to turn off the engine, that would only be if you sent TunerStudio settings.

Worst case, you will need to reload your firmware with a boot jumper, then load a saved msq or restore point.

Something seems odd here though.
A. If he used controller settings then why did the "powercycle required" popup and how did the settings get changed so it didn't run?
B. If he used Tunerstudio settings then why was it different anyway and how does it not run any more?

Agreed as stated above. The outlined steps are not quite accurate.
