Coolant temp gauge range extension?

I am running an air cooled VW Beetle engine with an OEM VW temperature sender that screws into a tapped boss on the later VW cylinder heads.



I have calibrated the sender unit for resistance against temperature and entered the data into the TunerStudio calibration table. The TunerStudio gauge is reading correctly and I have expanded the range of the gauge for an air cooled engine but I could still do with a little more headroom on the gauge and also an adjustment to stop it showing red at what are normal running temperatures for my car.

Is there a setting anywhere which will allow me to do this?

Which firmware are you using?
MS2e and MS3 firmwares have a setting for "Air-Cooled Expanded CLT Range"

or if you have a registered TunerStudio you can go into designer mode and change the limits and warn/critical thresholds to what you want.

I am using "Air-Cooled Expanded CLT Range".

I'm a registered user and I'm using TunerStudio 3 beta (2.9.112).

How do I get into designer mode please?

Open your project up then right click on the dashboard and look to the bottom of the right click menu for "Designer Mode", it should be the second option up from the bottom of the list.
