Thanks a lot Phil...TS3 just made a PC obsolete.

For discussion of Phil Tobin's Tuner Studio software (Only about the tuning software itself, not about how to tune or firmware features)

Great work on TS3.0.01 Phil. It looks beautiful. Unfortunately my little 1.4ghz SU3500 (single core Celeron) processor doesn't seem to like it so much as it seems to run very slow (at least in offline mode...have not tried online yet).

Is there a minimum requirement for the new TS version?

TS 3 shouldn't be taking any more CPU. In fact the dash rendering has lower CPU usage.
So there must be some sort of problem here.

What OS are you using?

I have an old 2003 single core celeron M laptop with 2 Gig RAM and win XP..
TS 3 is running just as fast as 2.6 on it.

There may be some type of error occurring on yours.

What is slow?
Can you send / Post a TunerStudioAppDebug.txt?

Do a good old ctrl, alt, del > task manager and check what is hogging your resources. Whenever one of mine plays up it is nearly always the anti virus hogging things. PITA it is.

It is often large, so you may want to delete it, then start TS, do what ever makes things be slow...
Then zip the TunerStudioAppDebug.txt from the TunerStudioProjects folder.

If it is too big to post, email it to support <at> efianalytics. com

I usually shut off the extra stuff that loads from start...even the anti virus. I can just leave the wifi off and dont have to worry about viruses.

I will look at the task manager to see if i notice anything butost.of that stuff i have no clue what it does.

Phil...ill look into posting an event log.

Sorry its taken so long to get back... I have had back problems since late last week so I haven't had much gusto left in me to do anything around the house other than lay down.

What ever was happening seems to be better now. I did notice that I had new Windows updates installed so I'm thinking that windows might have been doing its thing last week when I was experiencing the slow downs.
