Greetings,
I'm logging normal engine data to a SD memory card, and the laptop is logging the composite log to a file.
I can easily identify a sync loss in the MLV HD, and would like to look at the very same spot in the composite logger, but I'm struggling to find it in the large composite log file.
I convert the SD files and bring them all into the MLV HD, and open the composite log in the Ignition Log Viewer tab, but there seems to be no correlation between the sync loss and composite log?
Is there an easy way to go from the data logger to the same spot in the composite logger?

Re: Data logger vs Composite logger
There really isn't... There is no common timestamp or field between them.
Can you find the sync error at all in the Composite log?
Have you tried using the Sync Error Logger?

Re: Data logger vs Composite logger
I'm now locating the sync errors by loading the composite log file into a spread sheet and searching for the sync error pattern. This works reasonably well, but the open source software is struggling a bit with the big amount of data. Trying to get a graphical overview of the composite logger kills the calc software...but the spread sheet search works well enough.
No, I have so far not tried the sync error logger. Will try to read a little about it and test it, if that's considered a better way to find out what's the reason for sync errors?
Thanks,
Martin

Re: Data logger vs Composite logger
The Sync Error Logger is the same as the composite logger, but it doesn't start logging until you the sync error occurs.
