Shadowdash Gauge differences
HI,
Today I started to work again with my 7" tablet, so I transferred a new landscape dashboard. After some testing I can see some differences between the TS design and the one which is running under SD.
I attached the original dashboard and a screenshot from SD and also from TS: you can see there is a slight very minor appearance of the scale track contour in all of the gauges however it should be in this case black.
Phil, is there any way I can fix this by some tricks or there is some fix required from development point of view?
I use the latest 1.25 SD version.
Thanks,
Zoltan

Hi Phil,
did you have a chance to investigate the behaviour?
Thanks,
Zoltan

Re: Shadowdash Gauge differences
Sorry for the delay, I was away last week.
The main thing I see there is the sloppy blue line around the edge on the SD dash. I'll have to look at that and see if it happens here.
The font sizing is slightly different as well, but that is hard to control much further. Different true type fonts render slightly different on different OS's with different dpi.
I don't see any shading difference in the pics, that may be the little laptop I am on, but it all looks black and blue.

Re: Shadowdash Gauge differences
Hi Phil,
sorry I think I was not clear enough: as you called the problem is the "sloppy blue line".
Font size can be handled, not an issue I think.
However a gauge demo mode would be great for SD as well: I design my dash offline and than transfer to my tablet.
Than I go and try it in the car and sometimes I found some overlap etc. so need to be changed, demo mode would be great in this case to try still offline the graphics.
I plan to use USB OTG direct USB mode for data transfer and charging as well. I have seen a discussion here about that SD may can be capable to detect power modding and re - connect, sleep, control display mode accordingly. Can we know something about this? Is this feasible?
Thanks,
Zoltan

Hi Phil,
did you find something regarding the blue line problem?
Also, what do you think about the power moding support?
Thanks,
Zoltan

Re: Shadowdash Gauge differences
Give 1.27 a try, that should clean up that rendering issue.
