Megatune O2 gauge and O2 log do not match

Post by bbracing1 »

Hello, I got my beast started and running finally. I am trying to tune it but, my megatune gauge on the screen says 14.7 but the data logger is saying 10.8 has anyone had this problem. I have a megasquirt 2 extra. I have attached MSG and a data log file.
This is a blown BBC I am running on TPS not the Map. Any help at all would be great. I am new at EFI stuff.

Thank You.

Are you running a WB? That log file looks as though it was taken while your project was configured as a Narrowband.

Yes I am running the Innovate LC1 and I have it on the Analog output 2 0-5V AFR 7.35 to 22.39 and that is what the Mega tune is setup for if I done it correctly. The Megatune gauge reads the 7.35 to 22.39 and it seems to be working fine when the car is running at least it is moving when I accel or let off. I am a newbie so I may have something setup wrong.

Thanks for your help.

I would check the configurator again and make sure it isn't set to narrowband because that log file you posted above has O2 in it. MS2Extra logs AFR instead of O2 unless you are setup as a Narrowband.

Do I have to change it in the file under mycar1/setting.ini with notepad? They do not show my Innovate LC-1 0 to 5v just a gentric 0 to 5v so I unset the narrow band and set the gentric 0 to 5v but I did have time to try it. I hope that is what you needed to do. because it megatune when I change it under tools to the Innovate LC-1 0 to 5v it never change anything.

Thanks again for you help.

What Phil forgot to tell you is that you should upgrade to TunerStudio so you don't have to mess with an ini file for MS ever again (or almost)
